Sustainability is also a factor at the world's largest beer festival. The two festival hosts Anneliese Haberl and Antje Schneider from the Ochsenbraterei hit the nerve of time and fill the 6,000 indoor and 1640 outdoor seats in no time at all every day and every evening.
The tent, which has been on the Wiesn since 1881, is now powered purely by green electricity. The cooking, roasting, baking and slow cooking is also done with great emphasis on regionality and organic quality: juicy organic oxen or organic chicken and crunchy organic vegetables are at home here. Of course, with all this awareness there is also something delicious for vegetarians and vegans to eat here.
The Oktoberfest chapel Mathias Achatz with its big band is of course again at the start… During the day they play traditional brass music, in the evening they heat up climate-neutrally with the best Wiesn hits for dancing.
To cool down there's a koide(cool) Maß(1L) Spaten Bräu. That's the best way to celebrate!
